We started our journey to Manali at 1.30 am. We had bought seats in a tempo traveller and were informed that these guys drive nonstop. That was a good thing as the journey was an 18 hour thing and we wanted to reach Manali at the earliest, so that we have good enough rest time before the bus to Chandigarh at 9 am on 3rd.

Little did we realize that driving nonstop meant only 2 pitstops and lots of 2 drop moments (2 drop moments are the moments where you are so scared that you almost urinate in your pants – another term coined by Kaushik in this trip). The driver thought he was Michael Schumacher as he didn’t care how the curves ended and how big the drop was, if we had fallen. However he was very good and had great control as we all came out of the journey unharmed, impressed and reached Manali 4 hour earlier. We reached Manali is 14 hours, all parts and baggage safe and sound 🙂

Now it was time to head to our hotel (Kapoor Resort, once again), take a shower, eat and sleep before the next leg of the journey (to Chandigarh) starts.
